Dogs can often get a bit protective, especially when it comes to their favorite toys and snacks. However, instead of being possessive of her toys and treats, this adorable chihuahua from Connecticut is possessive of her fur dad! And the internet can’t get enough of her hilarious behavior.
When Alicia Lee McNeese and her husband, Nathan, adopted Bristol as a puppy, they immediately realized just how sweet the chihuahua was. She enjoyed cuddling on the couch and going on road trips with her fur parents. She also loved being in the spotlight and getting involved in everything the couple did.
However, Alicia noticed that over time, there was one peculiar thing about Bristol that she found quite hilarious. The pup’s affection seemed to be dedicated only to Nathan. Whenever he was around, Bristol would do nothing but lay next to him and claim him as her own.
In fact, the pooch was pretty clear from the start that she didn’t want to share her fur dad in any way, even with her own fur mom! Alicia found this little competition of theirs quite funny, especially when the pooch would go to such lengths just to get her out of the picture.
On several nights, Bristol would hop on the bed with Nathan before Alicia could do so, so that she could sleep next to her fur dad. There are also times when the possessive chihuahua would snuggle beside Nathan on the couch and give Alicia a menacing look.
But the most hilarious thing that Bristol did was during her recent car ride with the couple. Alicia was sitting on the shotgun as usual and recording their trip on her camera. She then decided to lay her head on Nathan’s shoulder to see Bristol’s reaction.
The chihuahua immediately freaked out, and once her fur mom lifted her head, the pooch then placed hers on her fur dad’s shoulder. This made the couple double over in laughter, so Alicia thought of sharing the clip on her TikTok account.
Within hours, the video had gone hilariously viral, earning almost 450,000 views. Watch Bristol’s adorable viral video here.
