Byeol is too attached to her mom. She would become aggressive towards anyone who comes near her. She would also attack any person or animal that her mom gives affection to.
Her mom would carry Byeol on her back when she feeds the cows because Byeol would attack them. She would try to bite their mouth, nose, or tongue when they come near her.
Other dogs are calm around the cows, but Byeol reacts differently. She is mean and nasty towards them. Byeol is not a fan of anyone who tries to come near her mother.
There was a time when she saw her mother pet another dog and she attacked that dog. She even attacks her father.
She is so attached to her mother that she does not want to let her out of her sight. When the mother goes into the bathroom, she will get inside as well. She wants to be by her side at all times.
An expert was consulted and advised the family that they need to distract Byeol from her obsession with the mother. When they do this, they need to show Byeol some affection so that she won’t react violently.
Her father took her from her mom’s arms and immediately petted her. This calmed her down. The mother was also advised by the expert not to bring her on her back. Carrying her this way causes Byeol to be more aggressive.
The couple applied the expert’s strategies, and it changed Byeol’s behavior. Her attitude has changed. She now approaches her father and is no longer attached to her mom.
When the mom would feed the cows, Byeol would wait until her mom would call for her to come. She now patiently waits to be called. This is great progress for her.
