Chimbey is a 10-year-old senior dog who was heartlessly dropped off at the Mr. Bones & Co shelter. He was starving and severely injured, which left him unable to walk.
Elli, the founder of the shelter, saw the gravity of the situation, so she immediately plated Chimbey inside her car and drove straight to the hospital. Chimbey’s elbow bones have been protruding outside of his arm ever since he arrived at the shelter because his owners did not care about him at all.

Elli shared that it was the first time she had seen a dog like Chimbey, and could not help but feel heartbroken at how depressed the senior dog was. Chimbey looked as if he has already accepted his fate and just given up on everything.
Elli has fostered sixty-two dogs, and Chimbey was her sixty-third foster pup. Elli shared that the reason why she temporarily cares for animals is that she wanted to be the reason why shelter dogs find their fur-ever homes.
Elli recalled that Chimbey does not like it when she changes his bandages. However, Chimbey did not show any aggression at all and even looked as if he understands that his foster mom is only helping him get better.
Elli shared that her goal is to get Chimbey strong because she wanted him to find his fur-ever home. Elli made sure that all the medical attention and love that Chimbey needs is always available.
Elli recalled that Chimbey struggled when he first got his set of wheels. He could not walk properly yet, but his mood improved because he was finally able to get around by himself.
Chimbey slowly regained his ability to walk and run on his own after spending physical therapy for over twelve weeks. A couple adopted Chimbey and has been living a happy life with his new family.
